"Kneeling Baoulé Statue, Ivory Coast"
Rare representation of a kneeling female character. The hands are at stomach level. One is folded while the other is open. The neck is long and reinforces the nobility of the character. We can find traditional scarifications on the legs, abdomen, breasts, back, neck and face. The headdress is elaborate and tops a beautiful oval face.
This statue, rare in its posture and rich in symbols, has a very beautiful presence.
