Louis -Michel Lefèvre obtained his master's degree in 1749. Based on rue Saint-Nicolas where his presence is mentioned until 1791, the presumed date of his death, he devoted himself mainly to the manufacture of seats. Its Louis XV and Louis XVI seats, although without great invention, are all of excellent quality and a perfect finish. There are also tomb-shaped chests of drawers in the Regency style, signed by Lefèvre, which would tend to prove that he also worked in cabinetmaking.
