"Pair Of Ferdinand Barbedienne Candlesticks"
Pair of gilded bronze candlesticks signed Ferdinand Barbedienne. Inspired by the antique, with a beautiful quality of carving, they represent a bust of a bearded man resting on a shaft forming a column decorated with grooves, spheres and flowers. On the bulge, ivy leaf and scrolls in consoles, on the binet, gadroons, bay leaves and berries. Lower part, under a circular base, tripod shank base ending in sandal-clad feet alternating with a fan-shaped decoration.
