"Bronze Sculpture Eutrope Bouret Pierrot In The Light Of The Moon 19th Century"
Bronze sculpture (bronze patina), entitled "Au Clair de la Lune", representing a Pierrot playing the mandolin and singing this popular nursery rhyme, his feather stuck in his hat, signed Bouret*, from the 19th century. This sculpture is in good general condition. It is signed on the base. Please note: the gilding is worn, dirt and wear from time, see photos. *Eutrope Bouret (1833-1906) Sculptor (Ec fr). Student of Buhot. He exhibited at the Salon from 1875 to 1903. Bouret worked in many materials, marble, plaster, terracotta and bronze. We quote from him a "Psyche at the tribunal of Venus" and the bust of Alexis Bouvier on the tomb of the novelist in the Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris.
