Roger de la Corbière, a French landscape painter, met Paul Signac in 1917 and subsequently became a close friend of Maurice Denis. He made a speciality in views of [Brittany] with sunsets or moonlights, close to the Pont-Aven School, and making frequent stays on the island of Bréhat. He exhibited at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Indépendants from 1926 to 1974.
