The "Spulenleuchter" is a type of bronze candlestick, very elegant in shape, made in Nuremberg in the first half of the 16th century.
As it should be on this type of candle holder, an iron rod is found in the column in order to reinforce it, its head protrudes in the center under the candle holder; the patina does not allow it to be differentiated with the eye but a test with a magnet can confirm its presence.
The candlestick is straight and in very good condition. Perhaps an old restoration at the edge of the foot, almost invisible from the outside.
