Pierre Ambrogiani, a key figure in Marseille, known and was friends with very great figures of the 20th century. André Malraux, Louis Aragon, Jean Giono, Marcel Pagnol frequented him, visiting him in his Marseille workshop when he was not traveling the hinterland, painting very colorful, so to speak, symbolist works from life. In 1962, he decorated the Immaculée-Conception church in Marseille with frescoes and stained glass windows.
He leaves after his death a rich, flamboyant body of work that is highly appreciated by collectors and enthusiasts of the first half of the 20th century. The painting we present is in perfect condition.
