"Indian Chest Of Drawers From The Regency Period, Circa 1720, 18th Century."
Exceptional and rare small chest of drawers in violet wood dating from the Regency period, made in Paris dating from 1720, at the very beginning of the 18th century. The chest of drawers that we are presenting is a very fine example of Regency furniture, decorated with very finely chiseled bronze trim with dolphins for the handles and Indian heads for the falls. The four feet are decorated with hooves in the shape of acanthus leaves. Each drawer has an inverted curved shape, and separated by an ingot mold. So-called tomb chest of drawers, royal red Belgian marble top with original corbin beak. It is equipped with its key. This model can be compared to the work of the cabinetmaker Etienne Doirat, (Paris, 1675-1732). In perfect condition. Coming from a great collector. Dimensions: l.89 cm x h.77 cm x d.54 cm.
