Superb Tenerian green jasper carved disk in (flint stone), used as scraper, original retouch on both sides.
Its very thin thickness and its abslute perfect symmerty proves well the talent of workers from this place in Prehistory for lithic sculpture.
Origin Ténéré desert (between Tchad and Niger, a dangerous region, unstable for a long time...)
Dating: circa -5200 to -2600 years BC; authenticity guaranteed.
Condition: the tool is perfectly preserved, i.e. without recent accident/fracture or retouching.
Dimensions 10*9cm (nice size !) thickness approx. anly 6mm
Provenance: French private collection of a customer who worked there as expatriate in the 1970's
