Object description :

"Bidjar Golthog, Persian, 140 Cm X 210 Cm In Hand-knotted Wool In Iran Circa 1970 In Perfect Condition"
Unquestionably, Bidjar remain the most resistant carpets!
Persian Bidjar Golthog rug in wool from the Iranian highlands.
Hand-knotted piece, 140 cm wide x 210 cm long, circa 1970 in perfect condition.
The shaving of these wool rugs is so precise and so clean that the material is similar to silk giving the wool a beautiful shine visible in the photos.
Not far from Sanandaj, the region of the finely knotted Senneh, is the small town of Bijar which, with its surrounding villages, produces what are undoubtedly the heaviest and strongest carpets in Persia.
## They say “Heavy and thick, Bidjar rugs are difficult to handle but robust for eternity”.
Our model has a classic decoration with triple polylobed medallions, pale blue, red and midnight blue.
The field presents in fresh and luminous shades a very elaborate carpet of stylized flowers on a scarlet red background;
The finely knotted borders are adorned with shades, such as apricot, old pink, almond green, red, and blue for a decoration of stylized flowers and oak leaves.
Kilim finish on both ends, in very good condition, the thick velvet is particularly soft, the edges are impeccable.
## Note the bold and fresh colors of this rug which harmonize perfectly with the floral decor.
A durable, quality rug, which with its colors can be placed anywhere in a house.
Very very high passage carpet. Go see our other Bidjar! This rug has been professionally and eco-friendly cleaned.
