From his youth, he was attracted to art and began to explore his artistic passion. He honed his artistic skills at the Art Center, where he rubbed shoulders with other famous students such as Préfète Duffaut, Tiga and Philomé Obin. Although his name is not widely recognized, Deprofil maintains that most people have probably seen at least one piece of art inspired by his father's work. Ismaël Saincilus is considered one of the most eminent contemporary Haitian painters, famous for his works that combine elements of Vodou and Christianity, particularly his "Madonnas". He also played an important role as director of the "Deschapelles ceramic center" and as a trainer of talented artists such as Michelange Altidort and Carlo Jean Baptiste. His artistic style is marked by a complex use of lines which creates a network of colors, as noted by Gerald Alexis in his work "Haitian Painters". Ismaël Saincilus is thus recognized as a pioneer of the Artibonite art school.
