Important and heavy pair of Louis XVI style candlesticks in silvered bronze. Very rich ornamental quality with a profusion of deeply carved Louis XVI decoration. Fluted base, decorated with Greek friezes, acanthus and piastres. The barrel decorated with piastres and a garland of laurel leaves. 3 arms of lights richly foliaged with acanthus, binets and laurel cups. Finally, in fretel, a burst pomegranate fruit with acanthus. This is a pair of silvered bronze candlesticks with the original silvering, which is very lightly worn on one of the candlesticks. No signature. Approximate weight of a candlestick 10 kg.
