British designer Alexander Lamont has always been interested in enigmatic textures, shapes and materials, "surfaces that beg to be touched". Manufacturing these furniture, lighting and objects in the 21st century, which requires time and hard-won skills for each piece, took him to Thailand, where he built renowned workshops.
