Stuffed bird from an old museum collection from the end of the 19th century, not protected bird, pre-convention, pre-1947, on period pedestal. Red-breasted Sunbird (Chalcomita senegalensis), sub-Saharan Africa. Very pretty little bird with a sparkling red chest, an iridescent green mask and a long hooked beak, very decorative, ideal cabinet of curiosities As is, some losses and restorations.
