"Small Mahogany Desk Table, Louis XVI Period - Late 18th Century"
Elegant solid mahogany and mahogany veneer table, with reversible top and pulls. This small desk has a drawer on the front pulled out by two brass lens buttons. It has a key and a recessed net entry. The lock is vintage and in perfect working order. This table rests on four sheathed legs, in solid mahogany. The work space consists of a top with a miter cut frame and strips around its perimeter. It is trimmed with green leather surrounded by a Greek frieze. At each end, a retractable pull-tab decorated with a small brass lens button, is dark in leather, harmonizing perfectly with the top of the desk. This small piece of furniture has the particularity of being able to transform into a games table. In fact, the tray turns around and positions itself perfectly again. We discover a beautiful green felt surrounded by a green braid decorated with a golden frieze. Thanks to its modest dimensions, this refined multi-function desk table can be installed in the room of your choice. ******* Period: Late 18th century Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
