Beautiful architect or mathematics kit signed by Claude Langlois. It is equipped with a line puller, a Roy stand, half a Roy stand, a protractor, and a plumb line. a dry-point compass, all in a dogfish skin case. Claude Langlois is one of the most famous manufacturers of scientific instruments of the early 18th century. Installed at the Quai de l'Horloge in 1727. Engineer in mathematical instruments from the Academy of Sciences. He stayed at the Louvre from 1735. He supplied the Paris observatory in 1730, 1732, 1738.
