"19th Century Virgin And Child Painting"
Beautiful representation of Our Lady of Perpetual Help based on the miraculous Byzantine icon dating from the 14th century. On each side stand the archangels, on the left, Saint Michael holding an urn of vinegar, a spear and a staff, on the right Saint Gabriel holding the cross and 4 nails The Virgin holds the Child Jesus whose gaze is towards the side, one of his sandals came off his foot, no doubt having understood his destiny at the sight of the instruments of passion he hastened to regain the protection of his Mother. Oil on canvas from the 19th century having been restored. Sold without frame (81 / 65 cm).
