Eze-sur-Mer is a picturesque village perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
It was while walking through the narrow streets of Eze that the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) is said to have conceived the project for his book Thus Spoke Zarathustra.
