Buffet Between Two In Transition Style Marquetry From The 19th Century

Buffet between two at support height, Transition style and Napoleon III period. It has a curved front and opens with 2 doors and a large drawer. Its marquetry is decorated with Greek motifs with rosewood fillets which frame a leaf of rosewood open like a butterfly's wings. We find this net on the drawer and on both sides. The doors are enriched with 4 gilded bronze spandrels. The canted uprights are garnished with gilded bronze scraps and sabots. Its top is covered in leather and surrounded by an ingot mold. it is mounted on an oak frame. Our furniture was cleaned and refinished with a pad by our cabinetmaker. Due to its small width (77 cm) it is ideal to be placed between 2 windows.
