Tsuba naga maru gata in sentoku with relief decoration of a carp gushing out of the water with incised eddies and waves. On the reverse, the flow of the river is depicted between two arms of land.
The koi carp is an emblematic fish in Japanese tradition, representing strength and perseverance. Indeed, they are able to swim upstream against the current. Legend has it that once up the Yellow River, Koi carp transform into dragons.
