Lacquer decoration on the lid offering Kodaiji style decoration, including silver and gold lacquer motifs in maki-e, brocades, maple leaves, waterways and kiku. The underside with pine needles and maple leaves. Nashiji under the base. silver and gold in maki-e with brocade motifs, maple leaves, waterways and kiku. Interior in nashiji lacquer. Old label bearing the words: Box offered to Dominique by Mademoiselle Gobart on November 16, 1932 – lot 102 bis.
