Renowned as an army painter during the 1914-1918 war, Broquet left around 1929 to join the group of Concarneau painters. He exhibited at the Salon of French Artists in Paris from 1901 to 1931. He received a second class medal in 1912, which classified him out of competition for the rest of his career. From 1922 to 1926, his works were regularly exhibited at the Georges Petit gallery in Paris. His works are exhibited in numerous museums, both in France (Hôtel des Invalides, Musée d'Orsay, Musées des Beaux-Arts de Provins, Troyes, Laon, etc.) and abroad (Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York , Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Japan, New Zealand…).
