"Porcelain Moka Cup & Silver Mount, Decorated With Lemons, Bearing A De Sèvres Mark"
Beautiful coffee mocha cup and its sleeping cup in porcelain and silver frame; bearing the export silver hallmark "Head of Mercury" and diamond goldsmith's hallmark (unidentified).Each element is decorated with a painted frieze with patterns of alternating lemons and foliage and highlighted with gold edging.
The frame of the cup has a cut-out frieze and an animated handle with foliage attachments.
These silver parts appear to have been gilded, the vermeil being heavily worn.
The porcelain bears the mark of the Sèvres factory with two intertwined L's painted in blue on the cover.
“Sold as bearing a Sèvres mark”.
