Rare 18 Th Century Hairdressing box in straw marquetry. It opens on two levels. there are four small drawers on the sides and four small interior compartments on the lower level. There are a total of 10 charming engravings representing gallant scenes, accompanied by text. “I love you with all my soul, nothing is purer than my flame”, “This heart is full of pain, but yours is full of coldness” “Let us banish change, and love each other constantly”, “I I fixed my loves, they are yours forever", etc... Some normal wear visible on photos, but the whole remains in good condition. Original mercury mirror. It measures 5,63 inches x 4,01 inches and3,34 inches high. France, circa 1760.
