"Large Glass Paste Vase Signed Daum Nancy, Double Layer Acid-cleared"
Hello, I am offering you this large glass paste vase signed DAUM NANCY France on a double-layered glass pedestal with acid-etched decoration of vine branches in autumn tones. Chalice shape, art nouveau period around 1900. Height: 30 cm, Diameter at the neck 10 cm. The French Crystal Company Daum is a crystal factory founded in 1878 in Nancy, Lorraine, France by the Daum brothers. The Daum brothers' workshops trained some of the great names in Art Nouveau: Jacques Grüber, Henri Bergé, Almaric Walter, the Schneider brothers made their debut there... From 1968, the Daum factory remanufactured honor by modernizing the ancient technique of glass paste which had been rediscovered by the glassworks at the beginning of the 20th century and then abandoned, with a crystal paste made up of approximately 30% lead. Due to the polychromy and the shades thus obtained, no two pieces are identical. Daum is today considered the only crystal maker in the world to have mastered the glass paste technique so perfectly. This Daum vase is available in my shop located at 57 rue Victor Hugo, 76000 Rouen Possibility of very secure shipping (ask for a quote) See you soon
