"Large Sculpture Diana Antelope Hunter By Ugo Cipriani (1887-1960) Art Deco 1930"
Very large and heavy old edition sculpture "Diane the Huntress" by Uriano pseudonym of Ugo Cipriani from the Art Deco period around 1928. It represents Diana the Huntress pursuing two antelopes using her bow in a slender movement. This group rests on a base covered with Belgian black marble and Brazilian green onyx with stylized movement on top, patterns, golden figures and movements of Diane reinforce the typically Art Deco appearance of this sculpture. Beautiful patina with lighter shades in art cast iron, reinforced spelter used in particular by Le Verrier workshops. Signed on base Uriano for Ugo Cirpiani
Mint condition, some wear of age, particularly on patina and arch.
