"Pair Of Candelabra "with Winged Victories" Empire Period 19th"
Pair of “Aux Victoires ailées” candelabra in gilded bronze and brown patina, Empire period 19th century. The winged victories with remarkable brown patina carving each support at arm's length two delicately chiseled gilded bronze torches. They rest on a sphere placed on a double patina pedestal ringed with palmettes and flowers of water, the cylindrical shaft finely chiseled with flowers in crosspieces. Gilding with double mercury patina and original brown patina in very good condition. (cleaned by our workshop, slight wear only on the square of the bases) Quality work from the Empire Period both in the proportions and in the fineness of the carving .
