Knabstrup (Denmark) This factory based in Denmark in Zeeland was initially a brick factory from 1856 to 1907. In 1930, production was mainly utilitarian. Aksel Sigvald Nielsen (Aksini) produced vases and also pottery plates until 1954, followed by the Austrian ceramist Günther Praschak from 1964 to 1969. After the departure of Frida Schou in 1970, the factory acquired a new gas oven, Bjorn Wiinblad resumes production of crockery, wall plates and dishes. The company closed in 1989.
