Pierre Ange Volckaert known as Piet Volckaert nicknamed “the Brussels Utrillo.” » by the press. Trained at the Saint-Gilles academy, student of F. Gaillard and Léandre Grandmoulin. He later worked in Henri Roidot's workshop. He strives to represent Brussels life through its alleys, market scenes, canal views and portraits, or landscapes, including forest scenes.
