"Veterinary Surgery In Red And Green Morocco, 1800-1830"
Large veterinary surgery roll case, complete, dating from around 1800-1830. Red morocco pencil case decorated with golden wheels and lined with green morocco, complete with its seven strips of fabric and silk. Despite a used condition and some small losses and oxidation on some of the instruments, beautiful and rare condition for this complete kit from the Napoleonic period or slightly later. A scalpel signed Charrière with a tortoiseshell handle seems to us to be later, otherwise the whole is period and homogeneous, unsigned. The owner's name has been erased but we can still make out: "Lambert veterinarian". Finally, the case bearing the label of a Parisian wallet seller established in Milan inside the roll: "Dumont attievo di Parigi fabbrica sorte du Portafogli da viaggio altri da tasca[...] Milano". Size of closed case 20x10.5x5.5cm.
