He did his studies from nature. He settled in Schaerbeck in 1879. He was a medalist in Amsterdam in 1883; in Munich in 1888: in Bremen in 1890; in Berlin in 1891, in Antwerp and Vienna in 1894, in Brussels, Barcelona, Athens.
Professor at the Higher Institute of Arts in Antwerp in 1895, active member in 1902 and promoted to knight of the order of Leopold. *
He painted passages with figures, popular scenes, animals. We also owe him posters.
