Black wire desk lamp by Tommaso Cimini. Daphinette model. Features an 8-hole semi-cylindrical diffuser that can be rotated 360° and a 25 cm arm that can be rotated 180° horizontally and 90° vertically. Foot and diffuser show signs of wear (see photos). The bulb plate is missing a screw (see photo).
Tommaso Cimini founded Lumina Italia in 1975 after designing the simplest of table lamps from a bare transformer for the 1974 Milan Fair: Daphine. Tommaso Cimini died in a plane crash in 1997, leaving the company to his business partner and then to his son.
