Serving Table In Ebony, Stamped Majorelle - 1910 flag

Object description :

"Serving Table In Ebony, Stamped Majorelle - 1910"
Serving table stamped on its tray “Majorelle Nancy”. Louis Jean Sylvestre (known as Louis) Majorelle is a French cabinetmaker and decorator, worthy heir of the Art Nouveau movement, inspired by curved lines and biomorphism. This table has a rectangular top in ebony veneer, with a slightly molded edge, decorated with an oval pattern in various woods and mother-of-pearl. The thin projecting belt, softened at the edges, is connected by four rounded feet tapering towards the bottom and ending in wooden shoes. This piece of furniture also offers a second shelf placed in the upper third. Note that the underside of these shelves is counterbalanced with walnut veneer to avoid deformation over time. This serving table will seduce with its charm, its dimension and its precious wood species. ********* Period: 1910 Excellent condition. Satin varnished finish.
