Empire style chocolate maker, in solid silver, signed by the goldsmith Henri LAPPARRA late 19th century or early 20th century. Baluster-shaped, this chocolate maker has exemplary simplicity with its sober lines and three water-leaf friezes, one on the lid, one at the start of the round and one on the foot. The small lid where the mousseur is placed is hinged, a seed decorated with two palmettes serves as a grip. The hinged lid is extended by the top of the flowing spout. Below, five centimeters high, a concave part from which emerges the pouring spout decorated with a large palmette which joins the frieze and below a fleur de lyse. The main smooth shaft ends with a frieze similar to the other two. The handle is cream colored with noble material decorated with gaudrons and dishes, the round silver part where the handle is screwed is decorated with vines with outstretched wings.
