"Camille Tharaud In Limoges Large Bonbonnière Box Porcelain Biscuit Box Decor Of A Young Woman In Art Nouveau Style"
Large candy dish with a domed lid resting on a small porcelain biscuit heel from the famous Camille Tharaud Manufacture in Limoges. On the lid, the profile of a young woman stands out, in light relief, made with white slip, a decoration technique called "pâte-sur-pâte". She wears a hat over her hair to protect herself from the cold weather, as evidenced by the presence of the holly branch, in the style of Art Nouveau. Rare model with its matte powder pink background, much less common than the usual blue backgrounds with shiny coverage. Large gold rose frieze on the edge of the lid and several matt gold lines elegantly highlight the box. Shiny gold signature under the base. Dimensions: Diameter: 16 cm Height: 7 cm Very good condition. Small cooking bubbles. Many other objects to discover in my stand at the antique fairs in which I participate.
