La Croisette model. Circa 1930. Service created by Georges Chevalier, prolific and talented creator of glass services and artistic director of Baccarat from the 1930s to the 1970s. We owe him the pure lines of the most remarkable pieces in which no decoration intervenes and which owe their price with the merit of the form.
In the same line as the Pour le Yacht model created in 1925, the La Croisette service uses the same massive square foot with, this time, a balloon-shaped chalice.
Model listed in the Baccarat catalog 1939. Presented at the Baccarat Museum, place des Etats-Unis in Paris.
Height: 7.67". Height without stopper: 6.33". Diameter at the widest: 4.72".
Decanter not stamped, but there's a Baccarat paper label.
The carafe is like new, it has never been used.
