Louis-Georges Brillouin (1817-1893) Oil on wood of a portrait Oil on wood representing a portrait of a man: a certain Mr Delegge. Signed lower right 1817-1893, painter, designer. Louis-Georges Brillouin is the student of Drolling and Cabat. He paints historical subjects based on the works of George Sand, Victor Hugo, Alfred de Musset, Lord Byron. He traveled to Italy in 1846 and brought back landscapes. He exhibited at the Salon from 1845. Some cracks in the wood of the frame. Visible at the Galerie Courcelles Antiquités, at 97 rue de Courcelles, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
