Rare terracotta subject by the orientalist sculptor Goldscheider, showing us a seller of fruit (dates, figs...) or small animals (snakes, birds, fish...) which he carries in a woven bag in the shape of a purse . He is very well dressed in the "oriental style". He stands on a grassy floor bearing the inscription “Goldscheider 033” “REPRODUCTION RESERVED 033”. The whole rests on a square base and a 'medallion' bearing Arabic characters. Beautiful quality of sculpture and polychromy treated 'naturally'.
