The vase was produced between the end of the mid-eighteenth century and the begin of the XIX century in Albissola, by the factories active in that period and which received authorization from the senate of Genoa to be able to use the symbol of Genoa for their brands: La Lanterna.
The vase has been decorated with scenes taken from mythology and the classical world, also adorned with some putto games, and which frame the central scroll bearing the inscription "Acqua Sicoria" (?). above the cartouche there is a noble coat of arms, which probably indicates the noble family that owns the pharmacy.
The vase is in excellent condition, considering the monumental size and its delicacy, noting that there are no major breaks is truly remarkable. However, it does show numerous chipping at the base and on the upper edge, probably due to subsequent collection placements. Nothing that a professional restorer can't fix.
The overall measurements are: 59cm x 29cm. Mouth diameter 24cm.
We enclose a certificate of authenticity with the sale.
