"Louis XVI Scriban Commode Stamped: F. Bury"
Louis XVI period scribe in solid mahogany stamped by Ferdinand Bury master on July 27, 1774. In the lower part, 4 drawers (2 large and 2 small) in 3 rows with a central projection. At each end, rounded uprights with grooves decorated with bronze falls (asparagus). The flap made of a very beautiful speckled mahogany board reveals a very refined interior decorated with bronze beads and bronze green leather covered in gold. Three drawers on each side with 2 cardboard boxes in the upper part, a drawer in the center and below a magnificent central curtain made of 13 leather book spines by 3 authors (Voltaire, Corneille, Molière) puts a final touch on this delicate interior and very great finesse. Finally, a secret in the column to the left of the curtain. Furniture with oak back, clean bottom between the drawers and fir bottom. Oak drawers with walnut bottom. Scribant in perfect condition, varnished with a stamp and entirely period (locks, bronzes, keys). Leather with gold coating refurbished.
