"Carlin Stamped Living Room Table"
Small living room table in cross marquetry on a lemon tree background highlighted with net framed with amaranth and Greek corner. It opens with two curtains on the front revealing a drawer containing a writing kit. Drawer and interior in solid amaranth. Very high quality cabinetmaking. Chiseled and gilded bronze ornamentation. Carlin Martin (around 1730-1785) – cabinetmaker – mastery obtained on July 30, 1766: Famous cabinetmaker from the reign of Louis XVI, Martin Carlin established himself as the specialist in furniture decorated with porcelain plates.
