"Pair Very Useful With Push"
Oh, there was a period in their lives when they were very useful.... These heavy brass candlesticks, with sliding bins, were undoubtedly filled with a new candle every day. They were perhaps placed on a secretary's desk where they spied on the secrets laid down in pen, in beautiful calligraphy on the papers which they illuminated without flickering.... Ah if they could speak... Elegant pair with their saucer foot, as is, with the mark of time, which ennobles them.
