"Curved And Inlaid Louis XV Style Commode, Tomb Commode, Work From The Parisian Faubourgs"
Sumptuous and opulent curved chest of drawers on all sides in the Louis of precious wood. The front of the piece of furniture, strongly curved, is decorated with a polylobed central cartouche worked in "butterfly wings" strongly reminiscent of the creations of the great cabinetmaker Pierre Migeon III (1733-1775). Sumptuous, highly crafted bronze scraps cover the entire front uprights of the piece of furniture. This chest of drawers is topped with very thick marble (4cm thick) in a pinkish beige color. The quality of this remarkable piece of furniture is also visible in the choice of frame wood made from solid oak. Two workshop stamps are visible on the wooden top of the piece of furniture (see photo 11)
