"Ciborium In Silver France Around 1800"
Silver ciborium with hinged swivel lid. It is made up of two screwed parts: a circular foot and a covered cup. On the cavet of the foot: trapezoidal cartouches alternating with rosettes of foliage. The flat terrace forms a round base in the center decorated with palm leaves and water from which an ovoid knot of the same decoration extends. The cut is smooth, without the decoration. The dome lid is chiseled with large leaves forming a rosette topped by a cast cross decorated with flowers. The interior surfaces of the cup and its lid are gilded / worn / 950/1000 silver, Coq hallmark 1798-1809 / Paris guarantee hallmarks / Minerva hallmarks Maitre Orfevre hallmark: Alexandre Thierry partially visible on the foot / Height: 19 cm Foot diameter: 10.2 cm Cup diameter: 9.5 cm Weight: 275 g Very good condition / without shocks or deformations
