Pierre de Besse, born in 1567 in Meymond, village of Laroche-près-Feyt, and died on November 11, 1639 in Paris, is a French priest, preacher of King Louis XIII, passed to posterity for his sermons and works published at the beginning from the 17th century. With this notoriety, he became the preacher of the Prince of Condé then of King Louis XIII in 1611. In 1618, he was named canon of the Church of Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois. He died in 1639 in Paris and was buried in front of the pulpit of the Church of Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois. First edition.
