"Marquete Pedestal Table Circa 1880"
Adorable little Louis XVI style pedestal table, circa 1880, in blond wood marquetry, with a pattern of cross-shaped holly nets, enhanced with pretty rosettes and bronze falls. The plateau is surrounded by a bronze border. The feet are finished with elegant bronze clogs made of goat's feet, finishing with an acanthus leaf. the general silhouette is dictated by the very refined canons of the late Louis XVI style. Note the diamond design of the lower top also in marquetry. The top and one foot received a water stain a long time ago (no lifting) the whole is in very good condition, and very solid despite its delicate appearance. A precious and delightful little piece of furniture.
