"Pair Of Dlg Vases By Auguste Jean - Circa 1880"
Superb pair of painted enameled smoked glass vases, attributed to Auguste JEAN (or in the style of Auguste JEAN). The work, particularly on the neck, on this pair of vases, is simply sumptuous. Note a minor defect on one of the feet (very slight lack of material) which does not call into question the balance of the vase, and which is almost invisible. Very nice dimensions for this real pair: 29 cm height for 14 cm diameter at the collar. High quality parts. Production at the end of the 19th century, the beginnings of Art Nouveau.
