Oil painting on canvas by Raymond Gaudet representing a view of a Mediterranean port from the 1930s. Very beautiful painting by this listed painter from Grenoble and having participated in numerous Parisian salons including the Autumn Salon of 1925 and the Tuileries Salon in 1927 and 1928. Painting interesting for its format, with its period carved and gilded wooden frame 88 by 74 cm, and for its subject entirely in the taste of Marquet and his views of ports. ​​​​​​Port to be defined, perhaps Algiers Sète Marseille Antibe. Original work never restored. Note the presence on the back of an old owner's label. Possibility of sending in France and throughout the world by professional carrier and by secure package.
