Exceptional State Wardrobe from the Regency period "Majestic Lyonnaise "State Wardrobe" from the Regency period (1715/1723), in walnut wood, beautiful, very contrasting patterns. It opens with two doors with a large frame carved with foliage, of flowers and shells in high and strong relief. The upper crosspiece is richly sculpted with rocaille plant motifs on gridded backgrounds, as well as spandrels in the corners, framing a spectacular shell, also decorated with foliage, flowers and plants. The arched cornice with a gendarme's hat decorated with a gadroon which enriches it, as well as two sculptures on either side.,, an inverted shell in the center resting on a basket, as well as a shell also reversed in the lower part. Rounded uprights with in the central part the heads of helmeted warriors. This Extraordinary Castle Wardrobe, has all its original ironwork... Namely: (Its keyhole, Its double bolt lock , Its two interior cremones, its hinges), as well as its original wrought iron key with a triangular section typical of Lyonnaise cabinets. This type of furniture was once a mark of prestige and nobility in the wealthiest French families.
