"Pistol Model Year XIII"
Year XIII model pistol from the St Etienne factory.Round body plate with espalet hammer in perfect working order, engraved Manuf Imple de St Etienne in cursive letters, hallmarked with the crowned S of the plate reviewer Claude Soviche 1807 to 1811.
Thunder-sided barrel, marked on the left side, 1808 and stamped with the B of the 1st controller Antoine Blachon in office from 1798 to 1812. The breech tail is marked Mle....? in capital letters.
All the fittings bear the crowned J mark of Jean Baptiste Javelle, controller at the factory from 1808 to 1812.
The wood does not bear any marking.
